CELEBRATE FASHION...EVEN ON A BUDGET
February 18th, 2009 by Stephanie MatsumotoCELEBRATE FASHION!! Breathtaking styles. I love it!
With New York Fashion Week in full swing, the Oscars airing this Sunday, and the photographers, writers, buyers, editors, stylists, celebrities, and curious onlookers buzzing about fashion, fashion’s moment on the world stage seemingly captivates the spotlight. Like the passionate who follow March Madness religiously, the World Cup games, the NFL playoffs, or the World Series, fashionistas and its spectators can witness emerging designers catapult to stardom, gawk at the stylish -and styled- actors and actresses, and crown the winning designers like the pundits and editors who publicized them in the magazines, newspapers, and online. With all the hype, glamour, music and theatre, the NY runway seduces, especially in person, and many, like me, fall victim. I fall victim more so to even street chic; a symbol of the everyday and a self-expression of undefined creativity. (See The Sartolist)
I love street chic!
Everyone should celebrate fashion; view it as an art. And fashion can still be celebrated even on a budget. Just to demonstrate that you can still be stylish, check out some of the pieces I chose from Target and Wal-Mart’s online store priced from $15-$25. Let the fashions work for you and make you the shining star!
If you have any other "budget" fashion looks that you want to email me, you can reach me at stephanie@stephaniematsumotostyle.com . I will be happy to comment on it for you.
